YouVersion.com must be my favourite bible app. I love that it is simple and easy to use. Has a selection of Bible reading plans for you to follow and keeps track of what you have read. I use this often and have really come to enjoy following a Bible plan this year through YouVersion. I really like that is comes with apps for Android, Blackberry, iPhone and almost any phone actually. It is a great app.
Making this video must be most guys childhood dream. It is insane.
This is a really funny and well done video. The guys at Saddleback are great at doing this stuff. As a youth pastor myself I must admit I had to laugh at some of the points. Enjoy
I was always a Posterous fan. I loved their simplicity and their minimalist approach. I loved that it just seemed to work so smoothly, would autopost everywhere you wanted it to and you only really needed to use your email to use their service. When I had a Blackberry, which is an emailing machine, Posterous was the winner.
Now I have left Blackberry and I am on an Android device. This means that different apps are available and both Tumblr and Posterous have great apps for Android. After having played around with both apps I would admit that the Posterous one is more informing and needlessly more powerful ( I mean seriously why do I need to create a new blog through my mobile app, how many blogs does Posterous want me to have? ). However I have found the Tumblr app more inviting to post stuff online. In this blog I want posting to be able to be done quickly and easily and I have found in terms of mobile apps the Tumblr one wins here.
Tumblr wins on two more fronts as well. Well this is in terms of me and what I want to do. The first is their bookmarklet. Both Tumblr and Posterous have bookmarklets, yet I have found the Tumblr one easier to use and seems to pick up what I want on the website I am on easier. The Posterous one does almost the same thing yet I havnt found it to work as well. The second is the themes. Tumblr wins hands down here. Tumblr has such a large and nice selection of themes for your blog. With Tumblr it is easy to make your blog look nice. Posterous on the other hand has such a limited selection and that selection is no where near the standard of the Tumblr themes. So here is another win for Tumblr.
Right now it would seem that I am a clear Tumblr fan. However that is not true. I like Posterous. Always have. I like the way they think. I like their blog posts. I like the community on Posterous. I like some of their features that Tumblr doesn't have (site stats, comments, autoposting, groups etc) and there is just something that I can't explain that makes me want to stay with them.
So at this moment I have chosen not to choose between them. I am using both. I am interested in seeing what 2011 holds for them both and so at the moment I am not throwing all my eggs in one basket. However due to the ease of posting on Tumblr, as I have explained above, it will contain some posts that I won't put up on Posterous for now. If you want to follow my blog I would recommend for now it would be better to follow my Tumblr one.
I know this seems like a silly thing to do but with my aim of blogging more in 2011 I would like to find the service that best helps me to do that. Therefore I am trying both and in time I will be able to move completely to the service that helps me the most in that regard.
Don't know if that made sense but thought I would let you know that I am on Tumblr and Posterous

Watched this film last night. Great actors with a fun storyline but I didn't find it earth shattering
